Motlow Softball’s Season Ends With Loss To Walters State

COLUMBIA, TN (May 7, 2024) – Motlow Softball’s season ends with a loss to No. 1 Walters State Tuesday evening. 

Walters State started the scoring early as they scored 6 runs in the top of the 1st.  No runs were added on the scoreboard next until the bottom of the 5th where Walters State added one more run. The Lady Bucks were unable to catch up with the big lead that Walters State made in the 1st inning, giving Walters State the win 8-0.

This loss knocks the Lady Bucks out of the TCCAA Region 7 Tournament. Pitcher Mary Bradley and infielder Hannah Foster were named Second Team All-TCCAA Team.

Motlow ends with the season with a 18-33 (14-22 Conference) record, scoring 193 runs. Michalee Clay led the team in runs with 31, Kennadee Lawrence led the team in home runs with 3, and Foster led the team with RBIs with 35. Bradley ends the season with 204 strikeouts.
