Motlow State CC Women's Soccer team wins despite the inclement weather

Motlow State was set to Kick off against Columbia State at 6:00 PM at the Raider Academy however, the weather decided otherwise.

Both teams started warm up, but with lightning in the area they had to take shelter for 45 minutes before warm up could resume.

Once back on the pitch, both teams had about 10 minutes to finish warm up and get ready for kick off. 

Once the game started Motlow went straight at Columbia's State backline and created several shots in the first few minutes of the game.

Finally Motlow State broke through Columbia's State defense and scored by#9 Ayline Mateos left footed cross to #20 midfielder Kaitlynn Wofford in the 18th Minute.

After 45 minutes Motlow State led Columbia State 1-0.

In the 63rd minute Columbia State capitalized on a free kick to level the score at 1-1 .

Motlow grabbed the ball out of the goal and eagerly waited to kickoff. Almost immediately from kick-off, #12 Cassidy Connor plays a great ball to #10 Emily Vallejo who cuts past several defenders and finished with a nice chip over the Columbia state Keeper in the 64th minute.

After 90 minutes of hard work Motlow state wins 2-1, moving to 3-0 in the conference with an overall record of 9-1.
